I want my contributions to QubeTv to be honest, intellectually stimulating, interesting, and hopefully even a little insightful and valuable to the readers. I value the responses I receive from other sincere posters. Ya’ll help me grow. You help me understand the nuances of the world around me that I may miss because of my physical location, my life experiences, and because of my dismally low IQ. I value your humor. I value the respect I have received from the posters when I have not communicated in a manner that made sense or was very scatter-brained. None of ya’ll have humiliated me by posting a caricature of a man morphing into a demon or called me vulgar names. You have simply helped me to understand your perception of the topic and pointed out the weak points in my posting. That is extremely valuable to me! I would never delete or edit your comments/responses.

On the other hand, I am thankful for the ability to delete comments from posters who are

1. intentionally not remaining on topic with the obvious intent of side tracking or sabotaging the declared topic

2. obviously using vulgarity to cause harm, demean, embarrass, belittle, or to be just plain crass

I personally do not like the edit function. Editing a response would make it appear that the edited response was what the person actually wrote when in fact it was not. It could lead to a lot of misrepresentations and down right lies. So, to me it is much more efficacious just to delete that person’s response than edit it.

Qubers, we’ve been given a wonderful opportunity to participate in something that is currently experiencing a lot of growing pains as the developers and posters iron out the wrinkles.

Don’t give up! Don’t give in!

I agree with everything with the exception of editing. I appreciate being able to go back in and fix a misspelled word on my part. Now, I wouldn’t do that to someone else out of respect for their own post. The only time I would consider deleting another’s post in my thread is if they use constant vulgarity to explain their side. In this case I would delete the post and post another thread telling of what I thought they meant, plus the reason why I deleted them. Thank you.

ps 0203, don’t be ashamed of a lower IQ. There are SOME people here, and I won’t name names, whom I am sure have a very high IQ but absolutely no manners what so ever. To put it in the most simplest terms: I wouldn’t let them clear away my dishes! :-)
