AKA Tous les Matins du Monde. The elusive genius of Monsieur de Sainte Colombe (Jean-Pierre Marielle) - a Baroque composer and cellist whose dedication to his art was legendary but about whom little is known - in this film festival favorite. Guillaume Depardieu plays the great man’s headstrong protégé, Marin Marais (later portrayed by Guillaume’s father, Gérard Depardieu), who challenges his mentor’s view of what constitutes true music.

Subtitles but worth it. I cry every time I see this movie.
Haunting beautiful music. Really makes you think about life.
Well, for me anyway.

It has to do with the text as you dragged and dropped it. If there are a couple of lines after a bit of text, the computer thinks you want to have a line through the text. It’s like using the
feature. If you substitute parentheses or something like that you won’t have that problem. I had the same situation until I noticed what was going on.

Anyway, sounds like a good rent. Derpardieu is a great French actor who also starred in a version of Cyrano that came out in the early 90s.

Rent the movie, Prince. You won’t be sorry. Yeah, I heard he was in Cyrano. I do like Gerard and am surprised I haven’t rented that one yet. Thanks for the reminder.
